Simpele vanille donuts
Treat yourself to these simple vanilla donuts - quick and easy to make! These delicious treats are light and so soft, perfect for any moment of the day!
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Take a deep bowl and combine the lukewarm milk, yeast, vanilla sugar, and white caster sugar. Mix everything well and let the mixture rest for 5 minutes.
- 2 Add the vanilla custard and mix everything into a smooth mixture. Gradually add the beaten egg while continuing to mix. Then add the butter, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix everything into a cohesive dough and knead for 10-12 minutes. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place, until the dough has doubled in size.
- 3 Turn the dough out onto a floured work surface and roll it out to a thickness of 1.5 cm.
- 4 Cut the dough into pieces with a pizza cutter or knife and place them slightly apart. Let the dough rise for another 30 minutes, or until it has doubled in size again.
- 5 Heat a layer of sunflower oil in a skillet over medium-high heat (175°C). Fry the vanilla donuts until golden brown on both sides. Let the donuts drain on a sheet of paper towel.
- 6 If you like, you can roll the vanilla donuts in granulated sugar before serving.
